This article provides the Hulu TV Reviews 2022. Hulu with Live TV, which competes with Sling TV and YouTube TV, allows you to watch some of your favorite cable channels live as well as a large number of your favorite cable shows on-demand, making it one of the top streaming services.

Unlike other cable alternatives, though, Hulu’s live TV service is fully integrated into the company’s existing robust subscription streaming service (which is included in the cost). We only wish the price didn’t continue to rise.

Hulu’s live TV service isn’t a must-have (at least not yet) for those searching for a cable TV alternative, but it is worth considering.

Interface – Hulu TV Reviews 2022

Unlike YouTube TV, Hulu’s live TV service isn’t available as a separate app.

Although it’s now available on most platforms, Hulu revamped its app from the ground up for Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, and Xbox One. Hulu’s UI now uses the entire color spectrum, centered on an easygoing blue-green-pink pastel palette, rather than the original green-and-white options. It’s vibrant, yet not overbearing.

Hulu.com also deserves credit for a surprisingly uniform user interface across all platforms. You won’t need to learn anything new to make the Android app work on the Xbox One if you already know how to control it. Considering the numerous screen sizes, the controls, aesthetics, menus, and even the basic sense of space are all the same, which is astounding.

The service excels in quantifying user preferences and recommending fresh content that is relevant to them. Rather than merely informing the service that you like generic descriptions like “comedy” or “horror,” you may dig deeper into some of your favorite genres.

The home screen might suggest new shows to watch or assist you in returning to the Keep Watching section where you left off.

The only drawback to Hulu’s method is that there’s no easy way to return to the main page once you’ve gotten deep into the submenu.

On the Xbox One, the menus also lagged a little, which is odd for such a powerful device.

Availability and Pricing

Hulu with Live TV is currently accessible on a number of popular streaming platforms, including Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, and the Xbox One. Apps for Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, PlayStation 4 and 5, and the Nintendo Switch were eventually added.

On top of the main $70-per-month price, Hulu with Live TV offers a range of add-on services that users can purchase.

The cost of removing ads from Hulu content will increase by $5 per month. It will also cost $10 to allow limitless simultaneous streaming rather than the current two.

Showtime costs an extra $9 per month on top of the base subscription, bringing your total to $74 per month — or $99 if you choose all of the aforementioned options. When you factor in all of those extras, you can get some fairly good full-fledged cable bundles for less, therefore eliminating cord cutting’s cost-saving allure.

A word about the $5 fee for no commercials: It won’t remove advertising from particular network on-demand broadcasts, nor will it remove every Hulu ad.

Content and Channels

For $70 per month, Hulu delivers more than 74 channels, which is a reasonable price for a cable replacement. Hulu, one of the best live sports streaming websites, has channels that you’ll want to watch.

A&E, Bravo, CNN, Disney Channel, ESPN, FX, Food Network, Fox News, Fox Sports, History, National Geographic, Syfy, TBS, TNT, USA, and lots of other great programmings, including sports and kids’ material, are all available on Hulu’s live TV schedule. Depending on your location, you’ll also have access to a wide range of local networks, including ABC, CBS, Fox, NBA TV, and NBC.

Fortunately, while the price increased, several missing channels were added. The Viacom channels, particularly Comedy Central, MTV, and Nickelodeon, were noticeable omissions, but they’re now included.

Most other cable-replacement services, on the other hand, include BBC America. There aren’t many premium networks to choose from, such as Cinemax, HBO, or Starz. You also can’t receive PBS as a local channel for whatever reason, which could be a problem if you have a bad case of sleeplessness.

Because you have access to Hulu’s full lineup of streaming shows, movies, and original series, the lack of some networks is relatively acceptable. The Handmaid’s Tale, for example, is one of Hulu’s original series that has made a significant sensation in the streaming world.

You may also watch your favorite episodes of Star Trek and Family Guy, as well as a surprisingly good collection of movies that change month to month.

Even if you pay extra to bypass commercials, Hulu’s library isn’t as extensive as Netflix or Amazon Video’s, and you’ll have to go through adverts on a majority of the shows. However, because the service is already $8 per month, an extra $32 for a full-fledged cable replacement service isn’t a bad deal.

In addition, Hulu assisted in the distribution of Season 4 of the British satirical comedy The Thick of It in the United States, which is a bonus.

Video quality

The streaming service of Hulu, like its competitors Amazon and Netflix, now delivers 4K video for its original shows and select movies.

The majority of television stations broadcast in 720p, whereas most on-demand movies are in 1080p. Whether they originate through Hulu’s on-demand service, networks’ on-demand libraries, or live broadcasts, this is true. Although there is no straightforward way to determine a video’s resolution on Hulu, you can set caps if you’re watching on a metered connection.
